Hallowe'en can't get here soon enough

I don't know about you, but Hallowe'en is my absolute favorite holiday. I get all giggly when I happen upon decorations in a store. I'm already looking forward to buying a new t-shirt. My green tea with kiwi and pear might not be a holiday tea, but my mug is!

Rain...and more rain

Driving back from Austin this past Sunday, we hit some major rain. The kind of rain where you can't really see, so have to drive super slow. The kind of rain I'd rather be at home sipping tea, safe and dry. But, you do what you have to do and get through it the best you can. And we did. We got back home between downpours and were able to unload the car. And then I sipped tea.

A white tea with pineapple and ginger.

And I am

It's Monday, so back to life as, well, normal. I've been on a real organizing kick lately. I keep buying these plastic containers for less than a dollar at Walmart, and using them to better store just about everything small. I'll need to graduate to larger bins to tame my craft room, but for now, just getting some things organized and cleared away is immensely satisfying. I am celebrating my achievements with a green tea with pomegranate and rose petals.

Another birthday

Yesterday was hubby's birthday, and he wanted to spend it in Austin, just being chill. Which we did. And since it was a chill day, this mug seemed appropriate. Along with a green tea with pink grapefruit.

Life, in general

A lot has been going on. No, nothing to post about (willingly ;) ), but I am fighting my two sides. One, my choice in tea is yet another tea with roses, this one an herbal tea with rose blossoms, raspberries, and vanilla, inspired by Downton Abbey. So, my more refined, civil side. The other side, well, it's pretty well demonstrated by my choice of mug.

And the other side of this mug

Let's see which side wins.

Roses

Hubby bought me a dozen roses this week. I did mention we celebrated our anniversary earlier, didn't I? So today I enjoyed a beautiful black tea with rose buds and petals. And sipped it from a most appropriate mug.

Shopping

Since my daughter got married a couple of years ago, we don't get to go out shopping together as often as we used to. So when we do, we try to hit as many places as possible. While looking at jewelry, I found a tea mug. Of course, right? Today I am drinking an herbal coconut cocoa tea.

And following my mug's advice.

It's my anniversary!

Fourscore and seven years ago...

It kinda feels that long, but it's really only (only?) 36 years ago today I married my first real love. Since he's at work, I'm going to enjoy a chocolate pecan rooibos in a mug that is definitely mine. It even says so!

And this is what's on the bottom:

Who doesn't like chocolate?

I still haven't finished going thru my chocolate teas. I think I probably have a few more still to go. Who am I kidding? Of course I do! Today it is a strawberry chocolate rooibos.

Crazy cat lady

I have a friend, Brenda, who everyone knows as the crazy cat lady. When I use this mug, I can't help but think of her. Plus, I'm drinking a banana chocolate rooibos tea today, because everyone knows you have to be a little bananas to love cats. And I do!

Don't blink

Today I am enjoying a black tea with ginger and chocolate. If you understand my mug, you'll also get the ginger reference. It also means you are AWESOME!

Another day, another tea

My dad and I have such a love for treasure hunting, or, as he calls it, junk shopping. It's something we both enjoy doing, and try to hit as many as we can in a day's time. I'm always looking for mugs, of course, when we go. And sometimes I come home with a new treasure.

Today I sip a green tea with chocolate and jasmine and love on my new mug.

Birthdays

Yesterday just so happened to be my daughter-in-law's birthday. So, in her honor, I am drinking a red velvet chocolate tea. She doesn't really drink tea, but she does love red velvet. Love you, Hailee!

Chocolate!

I just bought this tea called Death by Chocolate that is to die for! (see what I did there?) No, seriously, it is delicious! And when the day has been rainy and I can't do much else, except, you know, drink tea and read books, well, suffice it to say it is A GREAT DAY!

Let's try this again

Man, I'm totally off my game. I had set out to have a daily post, but didn't count on life having other plans. Yeah, I know that sounds kind of lame. But it's true. And, well, that's life, I guess. But, noticing that I have already posted around 100 tea mugs, and since the original idea was to post a mug a day...

My friend who initially suggested this blog to me insisted I have at least a year's worth of mugs. I don't think that's actually the case, but dang, I've even surprised myself with how many mugs I actually DO own. And I keep buying more, so...

I have an addiction.

Today I am enjoying a black tea with chocolate mint. I noticed I have quite a wealth of chocolate teas, so you'll get to live vicariously thru me.
